It is really hard not to vote when the moderator calls the question. I keep wanting to enter the committee process, to amend their work, to emphasize other ideas.
I love being treated like a reporter. Task Force members are afraid to say things in front of me, as though I’m gunning for them.
I am not gunning for them. I think they are rock stars. I can’t believe I get to sit within five feet of them and ask them questions.
The committee I am covering completed its work at 10:30 p.m., three hours after the dinner recess and thirteen hours after its deliberations began in the morning.
I feel like a zombie. My story might be done. I will edit it again in the morning.
Another committee actually recommended the deletion of Amendment B from our constitution.
