an understandable yearning
Can’t decide which of the things I love about this work are things I should seek to incorporate into my regular life – the intellectual stimulation, the constant busyness, a meal allowance, living in a hotel, having everything be within walking distance.
I love being surrounded by the connectional church, but it is sad to remember, again and again, that there is no chance of running into my ecumenical brothers and sisters here. I miss my Lutheran and Episcopal friends!
